Researchers and experts are also trying to find out how to reduce calories in white rice. One of the most popular is the results of a 2015 study published by the American Chemical Society.

Revealed by the owner of the TikTok Food Technologist (11/12/2020), this research related to rice cooking tips was carried out by Sudhair James involving 38 types of rice from Sri Lanka. He and his team were moved to do so because the obesity rate was getting higher.

“Since obesity is a growing health problem, especially in many developing countries, we wanted to find a food-based solution,” said lead researcher Sudhair A. James, who is at the College of Chemical Sciences, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Sudhair also claims that these tips for cooking rice with coconut oil can reduce calories by 10-12 percent, but they are optimistic that this figure can be much higher in certain varieties of rice. The amount of calorie loss can even be up to 50-60 percent.
